December 17th, 2009

I would love to share some pictures of the house and the kids. Unfortunately, we must have a raccoon or rhesus monkey hiding out in Grandma and Grandpa's house. The camera went missing about the same time as baby Caleb's rattles and pacifiers. This is a frequent occurrence now a days.

Usually the items pop up days later curiously placed in inconspicuous places. These repositories are usually at or below the height level of one little toddler named Austin. The rattles and pacifiers were found (only after buying new ones) buried in Grandpa's sock drawer. Grandpa swears he didn't do it and I believe he is telling the truth.

I know I didn't place the toothpaste and tooth brushes in my shoe but that's where I found them. The potatoes were in the plastic utensil drawer. My cell phone was in the toy basket. The jump rope is stuffed in the wall vacuum insert. What's going on around here! I just want my camera back!!!

December 9th, 2009

We bought our first home today. Yea! We purchased a smaller, slightly older house in Weiser, Idaho. Janet and I are really excited to finally be able to paint the walls a color other than white! We are doing a few (okay, a lot) of upgrades and we hope to move in after the first of the year if all the work gets done.

I am back in Elko for a few days. I'll sure miss those little boys. Caleb is growing up so fast I'm afraid he's going to pass Austin in size before too long! Caleb is laughing big belly laughs and he smiles all the time. Austin is always on the move. He is talking a little more but he still prefers his sign language. Austin and I took a nice little drive around the valley yesterday and ate chocolate the whole time. He was awfully hyper afterward but still a lot of fun.

I hope to have some pictures of the house soon.
